People often leave various mementos at the grave. On the day these photographs were taken there were roses and a book on the flat grave marker. The group of six red roses were wilted and in the process of drying. The book, The Complete Poems of John Keats, suffered from exposure to the elements. Although previously wet, it was dry on this day.

On the ground just behind the headstone were additional mementos. On the left was a sliver colored religious pendant leaning against the stone. On the front of the pendant¬†was an image of Jesus Christ on the cross and the word “Italy.” On the back were the words “ora pro nobis,” Latin for “pray for us.” Beside the pendant was a plastic piece, a carved figure with the appearance of a jovial, heavyset man with ample stomach exposed. The figure stood on a Sacagawea dollar. Next was an empty metal container from a used passion fruit candle with five Lincoln pennies on top. Last was a small blue and silver crucifix.
